This is not just a website launch.
This is a beginning.
For me.
For the writers I serve.
For the stories that have waited in the quiet to be seen, heard, and held.
Welcome to Oak & Ink, a publishing collective rooted in reflection, resilience, and the radical power of storytelling. I created this space for the women who’ve been holding onto words too long. The ones who whisper their truths in journals. The ones with chapters living on their phones. The ones who know they have something to say, but aren’t sure where to begin.
This space was born from the ache of silence and the healing that begins when we give our stories room to breathe. I created Oak & Ink for the women who’ve been holding their truths in the margins. For those who write between laundry loads and bedtime routines. For the ones whose pain never found punctuation, but who kept writing anyway.
Here, we believe your story isn’t too much. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need a polished manuscript or a perfect pitch.
You just need your story and the courage to begin.
It’s medicine.
It’s memory.
It’s a map.
Here, we believe your voice matters.
This isn’t just about publishing books. It’s about reclaiming the power of your words, your healing, your voice.
WHY OAK & INK WAS BORN
I have had this vision of helping women for years. And by years, I mean 22 years ago. In my senior year of high school, I was chosen to be part of United Youth. This meant that I sat on a board with three other high school students, and we were responsible for selecting which nonprofit organizations received funding and determining the amount of funding each received.
One of our group leaders worked out of a women’s shelter, and so we would meet there once a week to dig through applications and reasons why these deserving organizations needed the money. It was in those weekly meetings that I knew that I wanted to make a difference in the lives of women.
I had no idea how I was going to do that, and honestly, throughout the years, I have tried other things, but the ONLY thing that was consistent for me was blogging and sharing my story.
Oak & Ink began as a quiet idea, growing roots in the background of everything else I was creating until I realized it wasn’t a side offering. It was the container. The home. The next evolution of how I wanted to support soul-led storytellers like you.

For too long, publishing has felt either gatekept or overwhelming. Traditional paths ask you to shrink or wait for permission. Self-publishing can feel isolating and confusing. I wanted to offer something different. Something intentional, artistic, and collaborative.
A place where your voice is the priority.
A process that feels as sacred as the story itself.
A path that honors both the book and the woman writing it.
After years of writing, healing, and walking alongside other women, I’ve learned this: storytelling is not just about words. It’s about reclamation. It’s about choosing yourself in a world that taught you to stay quiet. It’s about turning pain into poetry, memory into movement, and truth into transformation. Writing isn’t just a craft.
That is what writing gave me. It gave me a place to land. A place to be myself without judgment or fear. It gave me an outlet to heal and to be creative while making a difference in the lives of other women. Women who didn’t think that THEIR story was important. Women who learned to shrink themselves because they weren’t good enough. I WAS HER and SHE WAS ME.
Why the name Oak & Ink?
I grew up in Oakfield, Wisconsin and that is where I fell in love with writing. My grade five teacher, Mr.Casetta, taught me the healing powers of writing, and from that point on, I was hooked.
The oak is meant to represent this part of my history. The part of me that fell in love with writing.
Ink symbolizes transformation. When your truth touches the page, it becomes permanent, powerful, and unignorable.
Together, Oak & Ink is the merging of grounded truth and creative becoming.

You don’t have to write your story alone.
You don’t have to publish in a way that disconnects you from your truth.
You just have to begin.
And I’m here to walk with you. Here’s to the stories that are still becoming and to the women brave enough to tell them.
Before You Go, Ask Yourself:
What story have I been carrying that’s ready to be shared?
What part of me needs to be witnessed on the page?
What would it feel like to finally trust my voice?
You don’t need to know the whole path.
You just take the first step.
And if it helps, I’ll be right beside you.
